BACK ON THE WORD TRACK

After a long spell of inactivity, the writing juices are flowing again, I have just completed a photo-commentary book about the time I spent in St Petersburg and my experiences crossing Siberia by plane and train

VICTORIA'S TWINS
But the more important work underway is my fourth novel-Victoria's Twins-which weaves a skein of contemporary and historical stories set in two of the most significant cities of Queen Victoria's Empire as they emerged from modest beginnings and flourished during the turbulent years of the 19th century.

One is my home and the other my birthplace, they have much in common and are surprisingly complementary. Both were the inspiration behind two world famous liberal leaning newspapers and stories are told through the eyes of their most illustrious and campaigning editors.
